The land was acquired by SBC direct from the landowner, and following the successful receipt of planning permission a partnering agreement was reach with PA housing association for the delivery of 31 new homes for affordable rent and shared ownership.

 

Following the receipt of planning approval, the land was purchased by PA housing from SBC, and a construction contract was entered into for the design and build of 31 new homes.

Demolition and ground remediation were key factors in the re-development of this brownfield site. Specialist teams carefully removed asbestos in specially design containment areas in this high-density residential area, allowing demolition to commence. Anti-vibration and dust control measures implemented reduced the disruption to the local neighbours during the demolition phase, which consisted of the deconstruction of approximately 3000m² of brick-built warehouses and ground bearing concrete slab floors.

 

As the project was located in a high-density residential area, logistic management was key to the successfully delivery of the project whilst creating minimum inconvenience to the local neighbourhood. Detailed logistic plans, traffic managements plans, and call off systems, managed by our vastly experience site managers and traffic marshals ensured the timely and effective execution of our logistic strategy.
